New Tang Triangle is a tango trio that
consists of Park Jong-hoon on piano, Yesle on cello, Lim Seul-ki on accordion.
The trio offers charismatic performances of skillfully arranged music from a
variety of genres including canzone and chanson based on passionate Argentinian
traditional tango. The upcoming show subtitled “Tango at Autumn Night” presents
a program of tango music with the Korean spirits naturally blended in,
featuring some of the Korean old pop songs tinted with the tango style that
came out after the Korean Independence. Also, a professional tango dancer
couple will accompany the show to enhance the audience’ joyful experience. You
can meet the excitement of the show at 7:30 pm at the Sejong S Theater on
November 15. Pianist Park Jong-hoon Praised as “notable musical identity and
elegant musicality” by music critic Bernard Holland of the New York Times,
pianist Park Jong-hoon has distinguished himself as one of the most versatile
pianists in Korea as professional concert pianist, composer, producer, radio
program host and even actor. Having studied with legendary Lazar Berman, he has
released more than 30 recordings of a wide spectrum of repertoire on Warner,
EMI, or Universal Music including Liszt’s “Transcendental Studies” and “Grandes
Etudes de Paganini” and performed at the world’s prestigious venues in over 50
cities such as Carnegie Hall in NYC, Philharmonie in Berlin, and Philharmonia
Hall in St. Peterburg in Russia. Park currently serves as the dean of the Department
of Piano at Yonsei University College of Music. Cellist YesleCellist Yesle has been highly acclaimed for
her monthly single release since her first one in 2013 as well as for her own
compositions, among which her regular album “Beautiful Cello” has garnered
popularity. Her extensive performances include a special
guest appearance at the 2014 “Thanks Concert” presented by the Gyeonggi Cultural
Foundation’s “Cultural Link” program, the 5th anniversary concert of
the Dream Forest Art Center, the matinee concert at Busan Cinema Center, “The
Strings” episode of the KBS’ “The Concert,” the concert at Perigee Hall, and a special
concert with Ulsan Symphony Orchestra. Also, Yesle’s own series “Yesle’s Bakery
Concert” that she has presented for last 6 years at Yeonnam-dong, Seoul was
selected as one of the touring programs for the culturally underprivileged that
the Arts Council of Korea(ARKO) funded in 2017 and 2018. She has continued her
efforts to make classical music more accessible to the public by hosting pod
casts “Bakery Radio” and “Caramel Classic” as DJ and by appearing in the Woori
