Kazumi Tateishi Trio is a Japanese trio composed of three people: Tateishi Kazumi on the piano, Sato Shinubo on the contrabass, and Suzuki Mao on the drum. The album ‘Ghibli Meets Jazz~Beautiful Songs’ released in 2010 and the Ghibli Animation Series II, ’Ghibli Meets Jazz~Memorable Songs~‘ released in 2011, have been in the spotlight both at home and abroad, getting on the Amazon jazz charts in Japan and selling out all the commemorative performances in Japan. Performances in Korea from 2011 to 2019 and 2022 were sold out as well, and almost all songs from the released albums have become steady sellers, staying on the top ranks of music websites. Over the past decade, the trio has positioned itself as a jazz trio much loved by Koreans. The trio showed special affection for Korea, releasing the album entitled ’Days I cannot go back - Live in Korea 2013,‘ which contains live performances in nine cities in Korea, and including the original song "December in Seoul," which contains memories of his performances in Korea, on his Christmas album "Christmas meets Jazz" released in 2015.
