Urna fatale  - from the Opera ‘La Forza del Destino’PROFILE* Baritone Song Hyung-bin Baritone Song Hyung-bin, renowned for his unrivaled singing and acting skills, has been in full play in opera stages and concerts at home and abroad. Song graduated from the Department of Vocal Music at College of Music, Yonsei University, and flew to Italy to pursue further training, graduated with perfect scores from the Opera Course in Pescara Municipal Conservatory of Music and the Vincenzo Bellini Conservatory. He also acquired Ph.D. in musicology in Graduate School of Myongji University, and has laid a solid musical foundation by completing the master classes in M’Garibis Boyajian and M’Bonaldo Giariotti, and the Performer Diploma(PD) course in Monte Rubbiano, and the artist diploma(AD) course in Ateneo Lirica. Song, who has displayed more brilliance in prestigious overseas competitions, won the second and special prize in the Leoncavallo International Competition, the runner-up in the V. Bellini International Competition, the third place in the Nettuno International Competition, the third place in the Renata Tebaldi International Competition, as well as the Uberto Giordano, Cagli, Rieti, Orvieto, Montalto Uffugo, Giovanni Velluti, Camillo de Nardis, and Eboli International Competition, demonstrating his outstanding skill and coming into his own as a musician. Song studied under professor Kim Kwan-dong in Korea and Walter Cataldi-Tassoni abroad, and served as a vocal performance instructor at Yonsei University’s College of Music, Konkuk University’s Academy of Gifted Arts, and Soongsil University’s Conservatory. He is now committed to training younger students, as a collaboration professor of music at Myongji University’s College of Arts and Physical Education, a visiting professor of vocal music at Dankook University’s College of Music, and an instructor of musical techniques in the Department of Music at Dongduk Women’s University.In addition, the total amount of gains from the performance will be donated to the Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
