Pianist Lee Seung-hye was admitted and graduated from Sunhwa Arts High School summa cum laude, and graduated from School of Music of Korea National University of Arts, gaining bachelor’s degree in arts. Then she pursued further education in Folkwang Universität der Künste, graduated from the master’s degree of professional performance, moved to Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf, and completed the course of Exzellenzstudiengang Konzertexamen, summa cum laude. Early on, she distinguished herself by winning the third place in the National Teenage Competition, the gold prize in Sunhwa Music Competition, the first place in the Korean Chopin Competition, the Asia Pacific Chopin Competition Special Award, the International Piano Competition J. S. BACH in Memoriam Walter Blankenheim Special Award, and the Lions-Club Lüdenscheid-Medardus Scholarship Award, and so on. She has been highly recognized as a pianist by winning prizes in the prestigious competitions home and abroad, including the first place in the Rotary International Competition Madrid-Velázquez-Spain (Ricmav Soloist Awards) and the first place in the Classic Pure Vienna International Competition. She has served as an assistant and instructor at the Düsseldorf School of Music, an instructor at Sunhwa Arts High School, accompanist at master classes in Michael Faust, Sébastian Jacot, Jacques Zoon, Angela Firkins, and an instructor of accompanists of Sommerakademie Cervo. She currently trains younger students in Sunhwa Arts Middle School, Kyunghee University, and Graduate School of Kyunghee University, and serves as a member of the Musical Arts Association, SSP Arts & Life, and Piano Duo L.
