Bizet (1838-1875)Séguedille - from the Opera ‘Carmen’PROFILE* Mezzo Soprano Choi Hye-young Choi Hye-young, a mezzo-soprano renowned for sensuous artistry with her unrivaled tone and elegant stage manner, graduated from the Department of Vocal Music at the College of Music, Kyunghee University and pursued further studies in Italy. She graduated from the Voice Department of the Luca Marenzio Music Conservatory in Brescia and obtaining an Artist Opera Diploma at the Ducale Palace Conservatory in Geneva. She also completed the Masterclass at the Novara and Milan Conservatories. Subsequently, she completed a KA diploma with honors at the Department of Vocal Music and Oratorio, Darmstadt Conservatory of Music, and completed an artist diploma course (Konzertexamen) with summa cum laude honors at the Department of Vocal Music, Johannes Brahms Conservatory in Hamburg. Choi is a passionate educator who has served as a visiting professor at Kyung Hee University, KB Youth Music College, Korea Nazarene University, Korea Christian University, and Sudo International University. She is actively engaged as a professional musician in Germany, Italy, and Asia. Currently, she serves as an academic adviser for voice at the Department of Music, Sejong University Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Arts, a visiting professor of voice at Sejong University’s Future Education Institute. Additionally, she is a member of the Prima Donna Ensemble, Yewool Music Stage, and the YEIN Professor Ensemble. She also holds roles as a district song leader for Rotary International District 3650, a conductor of Yongin Vision Church, and a representative of the Tree of Life Institute, Yunsung Art Culture, and Ruach Classical Ensemble.
