Allegro marcatoPianist Lim Yoo-yeonKnown for her delicate expression with resonance and scholarly interpretation, pianist Lim Yoo yeon graduated from Gachon University College of Music, received her Master’s degree from Indiana University Bloomington’s Jacobs School of Music, and is currently a doctoral candidate in piano performance at Sookmyung Women’s University.She has been widely recognized for her musical talent by winning first prize at the Hanoi Competition in Vietnam, second prize at the competition organized by National Conservatory of Music in Tallinn, Estonia, third prize at the Korea Piano Duo Competition, and third prize at the Korea Piano Pedagogy Society Competition.Also noted for her academic excellence by full and multiple scholarships while studying at Gachon University and Indiana University, Lim has given numerous concerts since her first recital at Kumho Art Hall Yonsei after her return such as the Winners’ Concert of the Korea Piano Duo Competition, the faculty concert of Yeil Synthetic Art Academy, a piano duo recital, the ICA Performance Center Concert Series in Vietnam, the 24th and 28th Concerts of the French Music Research Society, Maria Callas Hall concert series, Spes Piano Duo Concert, Piano Cantabile Concert, and the Rising Star Series organized by Steinway and Croisez in 2022 as well as her solo recitals.Lim studied with Han Hyeong-shil, Yoon Hye-young, Jung Sun-In, and Karen Shaw, and served as an exclusive accompanist at the pre-college of the Indiana University. She currently teaches at the Gachon University’s Music Academy for the Gifted and Kaywon Arts Middle School. In addition, she is a member of the French Music Research Society and a board member of SPES ENSEMBLE.Pianist Hyun AramHyun Aram is a passionate pianist who strives to present compelling performances with delicate technique and beautiful tones. She graduated from Yewon School, Seoul Arts High School, and Ewha Womans University, and as a scholarship recipient at Indiana State University in the US, she completed her Master’s and Artist Diploma courses. Early on, she distinguished herself in Korea by winning competitions such as the Hankook-Ilbo Competition, and was further recognized by winning first prize at the American Protege International Competition and the Chopin-Schumann Competition.Hyun proved her solid musicality as a soloist through performances with the Janacek Chamber Orchestra, Ordea State Philharmonic Orchestra, and Ewha Chamber Orchestra. As a selected soloist by the Amica Fest, she gave a recital in Italy and also performed at the Carnegie Hall, Seoul Arts Center, Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, Kumho Art Hall, and Youngsan Art Hall, among others.In addition to her career as pianist, she has been active in various fields; in college, she majored in psychology, and while studying abroad, she worked as a vocal class pianist, premiered works by various composers, and participated in recording projects. She is currently researching educational methods that combine music and psychology based on a psychological understanding of human development across the lifespan, and is preparing to set up a company that will provide music education specialized for those with developmental disabilities and music programs for parents’ emotions.Hyun studied with Kim Dae-jin, Jeon Hye-young, Cho Ji-hyun, Kye Myung-sun, Moon Jung-hwa and Edward Auer, and is currently teaching at Kaywon Arts High School. She is the leader of Spes Ensemble, performing a duo series titled "Journey with Music" and runs a performance channel called "Playing Hope" as well as an educational channel on techniques and practice methods for the college entrance audition, both on YouTube. As a member of Parakaleo and Kassia Klang, she plans to continue her performing career as a pianist for beautiful and authentic music, as well as her educational activities to foster future students
