The 28th Composition Competition of The National Music Association of Korea The National Music Association of Korea (Chairman Kim Hyung-ju) is a composition organization with a strong will to create Korean contemporary music based on the nation\’s traditional sentiment and constitution while pursuing of traditional language usage. The organization with 30 years of history and tradition has discharged lots of influential composers to settle down traditional language usage through being involved in tremendous creative activities as well as devoted itself to developing Korean contemporary music breathing with the general public. It is also sure that the group has been playing a pivotal role of improving and developing the composition circle of Korea. Since the establishment in 1980, the National Music Association of Korea composed of the current influential composers teaching at college of music has presented about 240 works in different genres including the works receiving \’The National Composition Prize of Korea\’, lots of prize winners, overseas works, etc. The organization with a long history will make strenuous efforts to improve the composition circle of Korea and achieve globalization of Korean music in the future.
