공연개요
Introduction‘Scala’ originates from the Latin word ‘scandere,’ meaning "to climb to a high place," and in musical terms it denotes the scale, the basic element of music. Just as the scale plays a fundamental and important role as the most basic element in the musical structure, the Trio Scala pursues the same musical ideal by continually striving to reach higher levels.Formed in Germany, Trio Scala was recognized by winning the first prize at the Peredur-Stiftung Kammermusikwettbewerb Chamber Music Competition in Kassel, Germany, as well as the Audience Award for the best response from the jury and the audience. Then the Trio was selected for the Zusatzstudium program at Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Mannheim, where all members were accepted simultaneously to study and continue their musical journey. They were also recognized as a competent chamber music group by being invited to perform at the prestigious Heidelberg Chamber Music Festival in Germany. After returning to Korea after performing actively in Hamburg, Frankfurt, Mannheim, Heidelberg, Kassel, and Goslar, Trio Scala has been performing a number of concerts on various stages every year, especially in 2021 at the Korean Art Song Chamber Music Festival where they participated in the performance of Prof. Hong Seung-ki’s composition based on a collection of poems written by one of Korea’s greatest lyrical poets Jeong Ji-yong, presenting a beautiful and experimental stage that expresses Korean beauty and the emotion of ‘han’ of the era.Trio Scala is a chamber music ensemble that takes a strong step forward into the Korean music scene with a pure passion for music while seeking to fulfill deeper musical knowledge.Violin Chang Ki-young- Graduated from Zusatzstudium chamber music course at Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Mannheim with unanimous highest score from the jury- Earned his Diplom at Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt am Main with unanimous highest score in performance from the jury- Graduated from Sofia National Music Academy in Bulgaria with honor- Won the first prize and the Audience Award at the Kassel Peredur-Stiftung Chamber Music Competition in Germany- Received the Teacher Award and the Deputy Prime Minister Award at the National Music Competition for Students with Disabilities hosted by TJBC- Gave a concert at the Kassel DOKUMENTA and the Heidelberg Chamber Music Festival - Performed with Kassel Academy Orchestra, Vidin State Philharmonic Orchestra, Sliven Symphony Orchestra in Bulgaria, Niš Symphony Orchestra in Serbia, Incheon Concert Chamber, and Euiwang Chamber Orchestra- Currently serves as concertmaster of Incheon Concert Chamber, Euiwang Chamber Orchestra, and the Clayer Chamber Orchestra, and teaches at Kaywon Arts Middle and High SchoolCello Chang Mi-sol- Completed the Zusatzstudium program at Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Mannheim with the unanimous highest score from the jury- Completed the Konzertexamen course at Musikakademie Der Stadt Kassel with the highest score- Won the first prize and the Audience Award at the Kassel Peredur-Stiftung Chamber Music Competition in Germany- Gave a concert at the Heidelberg Chamber Music Festival - Currently serves as a guest professor at University Hyupsung and Kaywon Arts High School, as principal cellist of Euiwang Chamber Orchestra and the Clayer Chamber Orchestra, as a member of Ensemble Sori: Lab, and as an instructor at Able Music GroupPiano Cho Sion- Completed the Konzertexamen course in collaborative piano at Weimar Musikhochschule- Completed the Diplom course in collaborative piano and vocal coaching at Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Mannheim - Earned her Master’s degree in Collaborative Piano at Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Mannheim- Gave a concert at the Heidelberg Chamber Music Festival- Performed on various stages both in Korea and in Germany such as instrumental and vocal recitals as well as chamber music concerts- Currently a full member of the Korea Collaborative Pianists Association, an instrumental member of the Research Society for Baroque and Contemporary Art Songs and the Korean Institute for German Art Songs, and the Korean Schubert Society- Currently teaches collaborative piano at Hanse University and University Hyupsung, Seoul National University and Dankook University
