These are the questions you ask yourself on encountering works of artist Seo Hi-wha. Even if it reminds us of R. Rauschenberg\’s saying of "a street is full of all kinds of sculptures (junk) wanting to be discovered.", <Fun-Love> project of Seo Hi-wha is a portrait of the modern Korean society by a delicate mixture of the junk between traditional Korean culture and western culture, Korean styled joke and humor, and novel ideas. In terms of micro-history, it is materialized by cherishing the memory of our women\’s life through the personal history of artist.  The artist has continued to work on humorously expressing traditional folk paintings with a unique style of  using western wastes such as plastic, stainless steel and others since 1997 when she went to college. <Desire> and <Happiness> series were recreated with dreams of the general public including wishing for good luck, long life, richness, and impartiality by utilizing wasted ready-made objects such as plastic bottle, film canister, medicine bottle, Teletubbies, safety helmet, computer line, cellular phone case and others in a colorful and pleasant way. According to the artist, the series aims to allow the visualization of "the "estrangement phenomenon between the two cultures" and issue of cultural identity.
