줄거리 : 한국고유의 토속적인 무속마을에 제사굿이 행해질 무렵 한네라는 여인이 선녀당에서 죽음을 기도하다가 머슴 만영에 의해 살아나게 된다. 만영이는 한네에게 애정을 쏟지만 마을에서는 제사굿에 부정이 탄다고 쫓아내자고 한다. 마을에서 제사가 한창 진행중일 때 탈을 쓴 제주 윤필주가 한네를 범하고 마는데, 과거에 만영의 어머니도 윤필주의 욕정의 재물이 되었던 것이다. 한네는 필주사건으로 선녀당에서 떨어져 죽으며, 자신이 필주의 아들임을 알게 된 만영도 한네의 뒤를 따라 선녀당에서 죽음을 택한다.

SYNOPSIS : In a traditional Korean shaman village, during the yearly sacrificial rites, a woman named Han-ne is saved from killing herself in the temple of the nymph by a servant named Man-young. Man-young looks affectionately after her but the villagers want to kick her out because she may bring bad luck. During the rites, Yun Pil-ju, the master of the sacrificial rites rapes Han-ne while wearing the ritual mask. In the past, Man-young's mother was prey to Pil-ju's carnal desires. Han-ne jumps from the temple and kills herself. Man-young discovers that he is Pil-ju's son and follows her to her death.
